Taal (South Asian A Cappella)
About
Dartmouth Taal is Dartmouth College's only South Asian fusion a cappella group. We formed in the spring of 2010 when a group of '13s (then freshmen) and one suave-looking '12 got together and decided that Dartmouth needed to join the growing South Asian a cappella culture alongisde groups like UPenn's Penn Masala, University of Illinois' Chai-Town, Carnegie Mellon's Deewane, and several others. Since we started, we've grown considerably in size and diversity, with members from a multiple ethnic backgrounds across the globe. We've also been able to travel to other campuses to perform, including Bates College, Mount Holyoke College, and Carnegie Mellon University, where we performed with CMU's Deewane, U Michigan's Maize Mirchi, and Georgia Tech's Taal Tadka.
