Student Employment

The Undergraduate Admissions Office relies on a team of student employees to welcome thousands of prospective students and parents to campus every year.  Additionally, the intern team assists admissions officers with a variety of communication, outreach, and recruitment projects. Opportunities come up throughout the school year, so refer to the Student section of the website for details (DND sign-in required):  http://www.dartmouth.edu/admissions/students/index.html
  • Student Interns - 8/10 hours per week, work on a wide range of long-term projects and campus visitation programs.
  • Reception Area Assistants - 2-10 hours per week, manage the reception area, welcome visitors to the office, assist with visitation programs.
  • Tour Guides - 1-2 hours/week, after a training course, lead campus tours throughout the year for prospective students and parents.

Other Student Opportunities

There are many ways to get involved with the Undergraduate Admissions Office for special events and visitation programs.  We rely on many student volunteers for events such as Dimensions of Dartmouth, the accepted students visit weekend in April.
  • Overnight Hosts - During Dimensions weekend (and selected other times throughout the year), host a prospective or admitted student during their visit to campus.
  • Dimensions Activity Fair - Showcase the organization(s) you are involved in by hosting a booth at the Dimensions Activity Fair.
  • Dimensions Team - Be involved in welcoming admitted students to Dartmouth in style! Information forthcoming to the freshmen class each winter.
  • Take Dartmouth Home - Visiting home during the break and want to bring information about Dartmouth to your high school? In the Fall, we invite any interested student to "Take Dartmouth Home" and host an informal information session about Dartmouth at your high school.  We'll provide a brief training and some promotional materials.

Alumni Involvement

Alumni often serve as interviewers for applicants to Dartmouth.  If you are interested in volunteering in this capacity, please contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office.
