First-Year Forum

Students will have an opportunity to reflect and engage in discussions with other first-year students. In the recent past, students have discussed current events, political philosophy and met with faculty or visiting scholars. For specific dates, discussion topics, and speakers see the Center's calendar.

Meets on Mondays, 5:00 PM, Morrison Commons, Rockefeller Center

Discussion groups are a great way for students to explore various topics presented by trained Rockefeller Center discussion group leaders. No need to RSVP, apply to participate, or make a long-term commitment. Get to know other Dartmouth students interested in public policy, leadership, politics, public speaking, and management. Dinner is provided.

Rockefeller Center Discussion Groups offer students engaging conversation; access to distinguished scholars, policymakers and political figures; and a lively way to stay engaged in world events. These student-led discussion groups meet weekly at the Rockefeller Center during each term.  For more information, see the Current Discussion Leaders page, or view the Rocky calendar for exact meeting dates and topics.
